Manual techniques and ayurvedic treatments to support psychophysical well-being.
Body treatments
Abhyanga
Abhy = towards, Anga = limbs.
This is the fundamental body oiling technique. Its primary function is to nourish the tissues through the skin, promoting the removal of impurities (Ama) and their drainage towards the excretory organs.
Benefits
It lubricates and promotes the flexibility of muscle tissue (Mamsa Dhatu) and joints, preventing injuries. It counteracts post-workout fatigue, improves sleep, and gives the body firmness.
Vata
Slow, enveloping movements with a larger amount of warm oil to ground and calm.
Pitta
Slow, enveloping movements with a larger amount of warm oil to ground and calm.
Kapha
Faster, more vigorous movements with less oil to stimulate and reactivate.
Vishesh
A technique that applies greater pressure than Abhyanga.
Benefits
Specifically designed to release deep muscle tension and remove adhesions. It is the treatment of choice for athletes and those who engage in intense physical activity, promoting muscle recovery.
Udvartana
An energetic massage performed with micronized plant and herb powders (Ubton), sometimes mixed with a little oil.
Benefits
It reduces the sense of heaviness and accumulation (excess Kapha), improves peripheral circulation, and fluid drainage. Ideal for reactivating the metabolism before physical activity and providing lightness to the limbs. The exfoliating action leaves the skin silky and radiant.
Garshan
A massage performed with raw silk gloves without oil.
Benefits
It strongly stimulates circulation and flow within the tissues. It is indicated to counteract lethargy and prepare the body for movement, improving tissue oxygenation.
Pizhichil
The “royal” Ayurvedic treatment: a continuous stream of abundant warm oil over the entire body, combined with a gentle massage. It combines the benefits of oiling (Snehana) with those of heat (Swedana).
Benefits
Maximum relaxation for the nervous system and deep joint lubrication. Ideal for severe stiffness and deep recovery after periods of intense physical stress.
Pindasweda
Application of heat using cotton bags (Pinda) filled with warm herbs or medicated rice.
Benefits
Provides immediate relief for localized tension, spinal stiffness, and joint fatigue. Excellent support for back and joint mobility.
Pada Dhara
A thin stream of warm herbalized oil on the toes and the soles of the feet.
Benefits
Relaxing, useful for recovery after long walks or grounding activities. Promotes a good night’s rest.
