Who We Are

Our Mission

ASD La Nuova Terra aims to promote the culture of well-being through Maharishi Ayurveda, a science that embraces all aspects of the human being: physical, mental, and spiritual.

We specialize in the application of traditional Ayurvedic methodologies and offer our members the opportunity to experience Panchakarma, a deep purification process performed in its authentic form as described in the classical texts (Samhitā), as a fundamental tool for psychophysical preparation and Yoga, essential instruments for psychophysical harmony.

Health According to Ayurveda

“He whose Doshas (vital principles) and Agnis (metabolism) are in balance, whose tissues and physiological functions operate normally, and whose self, soul, and senses are filled with happiness, is defined as a healthy person.”

Sushruta Samhitā, XV 38.

What is Ayurveda

Ayurveda, literally the “Science of Life,” has its roots in the Ancient Vedic Civilization. Practiced in India for thousands of years, it is considered the oldest natural system for promoting balance between body and mind.

Thanks to the collaboration with the most authoritative experts of the tradition, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi restored this discipline to its original splendor in the early 1980s. This is how this approach, in its purest and most complete form, is known and practiced worldwide today as “Maharishi Ayurveda”.

It is a system of knowledge passed down from time immemorial, oriented not only toward restoring well-being but above all toward adopting a lifestyle that promotes longevity and health. Its fundamental principle is to correct subtle physiological imbalances (Doshas) before they manifest as disharmonies, thus ensuring the maintenance of maximum psychophysical efficiency.

About Us:

Our center is certified by the Maharishi College of Perfect Health International

Our technicians and practitioners receive specialized training at the Maharishi College of Perfect Health International through highly qualified programs. We regularly collaborate with expert Indian Vaidyas (traditional sages) who visit the center, including Dr. J.R. Raju, Dr. Pavani Chakrahari Raju, and Dr. Aditya Chakrahari Raju.

Our Association aims to develop and disseminate Ayurvedic activities and disciplines conducive to personal health and well-being. We provide our members with thirty years of experience from a group of experts in Maharishi Ayurveda, recognized as the most authentic approach to the Vedic tradition. Our educational offering includes not only physical practice but everything that Vedic Science proposes for the evolution of the individual:

  • Panchakarma: Total Body-Mind-Spirit Purification
  • Yoga: Yoga on the path of self-knowledge for a strong and flexible body
  • Transcendental Meditation: A mental technique for recovery and concentration.
  • Sthāpatya Veda: Principles of architecture in harmony with the laws of nature.
  • Gandharva Veda: The use of sound frequencies for balance (Music Therapy).
  • Jyotish: The study of time cycles (Vedic Astrology).

Our goal is to help people maintain an optimal state of health by drawing on a treasure trove of millennial knowledge. Every individual is unique, and our approach is always personalized.

Our Technical and Management Staff

Every aspect of the method and the preparations used follows the instructions of a Council of Vaidyas (expert sages of Vedic knowledge), established under the guidance of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and composed of three of the world’s leading authorities:

Dr. Patrizia Raiteri

Medical and Scientific Supervisor. A graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan and specialized in Psychosomatic Medicine, she integrated her academic studies with Maharishi Ayurveda, recognizing it as a complete system based on the balance between Body, Mind, and Spirit. Her educational path led her to specialize at Maharishi University and collaborate with major Indian Vaidyas, deepening the practice of Panchakarma and Pulse Diagnosis (Nadi Vigyan). A lecturer in Ayurveda at the Italian Medical Association for Maharishi Ayurveda, she founded the “Maharishi Ayurveda Lake Orta” project. Within the Association, she oversees well-being protocols and personalized recommendations for members. Her integrated approach combines conventional medicine with Vedic wisdom, supporting individuals on their journey of awareness and health.

Tommaso Iuliano

A freelancer always driven by the research and storytelling of human talent, in 2005 he created the Maharishi Ayurveda Lake Orta project together with Dr. Raiteri. Since then, his path has been moved by the desire to share the benefits of Yoga and Ayurveda, disciplines he considers precious tools for regaining balance and awareness. With this spirit, he founded the ASD “La Nuova Terra,” among the first organizations in Italy to combine Yoga and Ayurveda in an associative context, creating a place for meeting, growth, and listening. His vision is simple: to build a space where knowledge becomes nourishment and sharing generates a healthy, conscious, and vibrant community. Within the Association, he holds the role of Administrative Manager. He takes care of communication, member reception, and general coordination, working with dedication to ensure every experience is authentic, harmonious, and of high quality.

Alfredo Foglia

Technical Coordinator. An Ayurvedic technician since 1992, he graduated from the Maharishi European Research University (Seelisberg, Switzerland). He deepened his knowledge of Panchakarma techniques by collaborating on international research programs in the Netherlands. He has gained extensive experience working at centers of excellence in Switzerland, Sweden, and Italy. He has practiced Transcendental Meditation and the Siddhi Techniques for over thirty years. Within the ASD, he holds the role of Coordinator for instructors and Ayurvedic technicians, ensuring the protocols remain faithful to tradition.

Ginevra Iuliano

Osteopath D.O. and Massophysiotherapist (MCB), with training in integrated medicine and specialization in chronic and post-traumatic stress. She explores the body-mind approach by integrating osteopathy, neuroscience, and Eastern traditions. She has practiced Transcendental Meditation since childhood and Siddha Techniques since adulthood. She completed study programs in India on traditional Ayurveda, Vedic texts, and medicinal plants, including meetings with the Vaidhya Raju family. She collaborates with Maharishi Ayurveda in Panchakarma programs, handling reception, personalized treatments, and knowledge exchange, contributing to the creation of spaces dedicated to regeneration, listening, and awareness.

The Team. Our staff consists of Yoga instructors, Transcendental Meditation teachers, naturopaths, Ayurvedic practitioners, and osteopaths. All practice Transcendental Meditation and share the Association’s values, creating a familial and professional environment at the service of every participant.
